Rebecca St. James - That's What Matters Lyrics
I read about this guy onceHe seemed to own the earthAs far as big shots go and people in the know...wellHe was definitely top of the listAnything he wanted - he'd get itSociety's dreamHad lots of stuff - had lots of moneyBut you know what's funny? He said it all was uselessMeaningless - MeaninglessHe said "Everything is meaningless...A chase after the wind"Chorus:Don't wish for a better dayBe glad and use the one you're inFear God and do exactly what He saysThat's what mattersAll else fades like the flowersWell, he'd tried pleasureThere was nothing in thatHe built houses & gardens & parksWhat good did it do?Just got him more depressedMeaningless - MeaninglessHe said "Everything is meaningless...But this is what I learned in all my years"ChorusMeaningless - MeaninglessHe said "Everything is meaningless...A chase after the wind"Don't wish for a better dayBe glad and use the one you're inFear God and do exactly what He saysThat's what mattersAll else fades awayMeaningful - MeaningfulLife holds new meaningWhen God becomes the center of it allI read about another man onceHe came to save the earthYou know I got to meet Him, JesusHe revolutionized my whole entire lifeChorusRepeat
